Shopic is an AI start-up specializing in retail solutions and shopping experiences. Our technology turns any shopping cart into a smart cart. Powered by computer vision and data analytics, the cart lets shoppers grab the products they want and skip the checkout lines when they leave the store.

We are based in Tel Aviv, deployed by major grocery chains worldwide, and employ some of the best minds in the AI sector.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer, with a passion for delivering high-quality code to join the Machine Learning Engineering team which implements and deploys our cutting-edge computer vision-based algorithms, and develops the next-generation solution for our smart cart.

About The Role

  • Design, develop, and maintain our computer vision-based solution
  • Identify bottlenecks, and write highly optimized code exploiting various HW accelerators
  • Take part in all architecture and development stages, and work closely with the Algo and QA team members
  • Contribute to the team’s engineering culture, by implementing best engineering practices.

Your Experience & Skills

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in CS or EE, from a university
  • 3 years of Software Engineering experience
  • Experience developing with Python & C++ languages
  • Good understanding of computer architecture and operating systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good people and communication skills, fast learner, and self-motivated

Desirable:

  • Knowledge in algorithms implementation and runtime-memory optimizations
  • Machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, or image processing background
  • Experience working in Unix-based environments
  • DSP/GPU/SIMD programming experience
